Dodge Challenger 2023: We finish this with a Demon 170

As announced by the Stellantis group, production of the Dodge Challenger has come to a definitive end, just like the Dodge Charger. Therefore, it can be said that it's the end of an era for the American manufacturer.

Regarding the Challenger, the last model to roll off the production line happens to be a 170 Demon, nothing less than the ultimate version of the model. This one is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that develops 1025 horsepower, no less. It's one of the special editions from the Last Call series created to pay a final tribute to the American manufacturer's car before its grand departure. The 170 Demon is also the most powerful version in Dodge Challenger history. This final edition of 3000 units has been painted in a Pitch Black coat.

As for the last Charger, it received a Destroyer Gray paint job, one of the most beautiful colors ever offered for this model.

The Dodge Charger and the Dodge Charger aren't the only cars in their category whose production has ceased. This is also the case for the legendary Chrysler 300.

Closing a long chapter

Although it may seem that the trio of American cars departed too soon, it's essential not to forget that their entry into the market dates back several years. The Chrysler 300 was the first to arrive in 2004. Thanks to the model's success and the numerous possibilities offered by adding this new platform, Dodge created the Magnum in 2005, a uniquely powerful family car. Of course, the American manufacturer continued this superb momentum with the Dodge Charger in 2006. Then, as you know, 2008 was a dark year for the automotive industry, but the large American cars survived despite everything. It was also the same year that Dodge presented the Challenger at the New York Auto Show.

The Chrysler 300, the Dodge Charger, and the Dodge Challenger are no more. A new Charger is expected to enter the market in the coming months with a 100% electric version. This will replace the old Charger as well as the Challenger. As for the Chrysler 300, no replacement has been announced at the moment, but we could certainly expect the arrival of a new electric model in the coming years.
