Jeep: Five Unveilings to Come
March 05 2024, AutoAubaine
Jeep is one of the most profitable and prolific brands within the Stellantis group. The division's success can be attributed to numerous factors such as its off-road driving heritage, as well as the solid reputation it has built over the years.
The Jeep family has been steadily expanding for some time, and it's far from over. Indeed, the American manufacturer plans to launch five new models by 2025.
Electrification at the Forefront
Unsurprisingly, all the new models emerging in the Jeep lineup over the coming months will be electrified in one way or another. This includes two fully electric models. For the other three, there will be hybrid or plug-in hybrid powertrains.
Among the electric models eagerly anticipated at Jeep is the Wagoneer S. Expectations are high for this large SUV. Jeep promises a version with 600 horsepower capable of reaching 0-100 km/h in less than 3.5 seconds. According to the manufacturer, the Wagoneer S is expected to enter production in the coming months and should be available at dealerships by the end of the year.
Another model that is sure to join the Jeep lineup by 2025 is the 4xe version of the Gladiator. This is essentially based on the same platform as the Jeep Wrangler, which has been offering a plug-in hybrid powertrain for many years now.
As for the other models to be unveiled by 2025, Stellantis has not provided many details. They could be entirely new models or simply new generations for existing models.
Finally, Jeep is working on a significant optimization phase in its factories to reduce production costs. This should also help lower the selling price of several models in 2024 and thus make the brand accessible to as many people as possible.
