Jeep Gladiator 2024: Two New Versions and a Price Increase

Stellantis has just unveiled the 2024 lineup for the Jeep Gladiator, and unsurprisingly, prices are on the rise for the model. However, the range of the American pickup truck welcomes two new versions to the menu this year.

The starting price for the 2024 Jeep Gladiator is now $58,140, approximately $3,000 more than last year. This is a significant increase, but it's worth noting that its standard equipment has been greatly enhanced, justifying this hike. The American manufacturer's truck benefits from the new 12.3-inch screen for its multimedia system, enhancing the interior cabin experience. As for the other versions, there is very little difference in terms of prices.

Two New Variants

For 2024, Jeep has decided to retire the High Altitude version that topped the range last year. Instead, the American manufacturer has added two versions with enhanced off-road capabilities: the Mojave X and Rubicon X models. Essentially, what is offered here are additional comfort options and notably improved off-road features. This includes a reinforced bumper, a front camera, a Rock-Trac transfer case, and more.

The Gladiator has also received some general improvements for 2024. The grille design has been slightly reworked.

There are no major changes to the mechanics of the American manufacturer's pickup truck this year. It retains its 3.6-liter V6 engine with 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. This engine can be paired with a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission. In both cases, 4x4 drivetrain is standard. The Gladiator remains one of the most capable vehicles in its class thanks to its towing capacity of 7,700 pounds and its off-road driving capabilities.

What the Gladiator lineup lacks is a plug-in hybrid 4xe version. Who knows, perhaps this version will be available for the American pickup truck next year. Needless to say, we eagerly await it, especially considering the Wrangler already offers this engine.
