Jeep Wrangler 392: It's Almost the End

I believe we can agree that the Jeep Wrangler 392 is not a necessity in the model lineup. This version is thirsty and impractical. Who needs an off-road SUV with almost 500 horsepower? In fact, the problem lies in the question here because it's not about a need, but a desire, an emotion. Things look very different from this perspective, and that's why the Jeep Wrangler 392 is so popular.

For those who are not familiar, a few years ago, Jeep engineers had the brilliant idea of fitting a 6.4-liter V8 engine into the Wrangler. This engine boasts 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, which is far too much for a model like the Wrangler. As you can imagine, tons of buyers jumped on the product, despite its costliness. In short, Jeep found a winning formula.

The Beginning of the End

As you know, the Stellantis group has begun to transition to new powertrains by gradually phasing out V8s from its lineup. The Charger and Challenger have been removed from the market, the Jeep Grand Wagoneer and RAM 1500 offer inline-6 engines, and so on. All this to say that it will soon be the Wrangler's turn, which is why you should enjoy it now.

We're already surprised that Jeep has decided to renew the model for 2024, but we greatly appreciate it. However, this will clearly be the last year for this ultimate version. The American manufacturer has therefore launched a special edition to celebrate the occasion. The Final Edition will have a very limited run with only 3700 units. You will understand that this is the total number of units. Here in Canada, we will only have 300 units, which is likely to make it a particularly popular model among its fans.

The ultimate alteration of the Jeep Wrangler 392 will feature unique graphic elements as well as stunning 17-inch wheels mounted on 35-inch tires as standard. An 8,000-pound winch and side protections will also be part of the standard equipment for the model. Not to mention that its ground clearance has been raised to improve its off-road driving capabilities.

Unsurprisingly, this Final Edition will not be within everyone's budget with a starting price of $127,215.
